At Frenchs Forest Public School, time is set aside each Friday for special religious education (SRE) and special education in ethics (SEE).
Years K-2 11:50am – 12:30pm
Year 3-6 12:30pm – 1:10pm
The program is delivered by approved providers who train volunteers to teach the lessons. All volunteers have verified Working with Children Check clearances, are cross referenced on the Department’s database and have confirmation that they have met relevant requirements under the Act. They are trained and supported by their approved organisation. The curriculum they deliver has been authorised by the Department.
The following SRE classes are offered at FFPS:
- Anglican SRE is provided by teachers who are authorised and trained by the following approved provider: Anglican Diocese of Sydney. The curriculum can be viewed at whysre.com.au.
- Catholic SRE
There are currently no special education in ethics approved providers available at Frenchs Forest Public School.
