Frenchs Forest Public School currently offers options for SRE (Special Religious Education), SEE (Special Ethics Education) and non-scripture.
Classes are held on a Friday for 40 minutes, between recess and lunch.
Protestant
Children learn in a fun engaging program what the Bible has to say and how it applies to our world today. They work through an activity book provided by the local churches and enjoy games, music and drama.
Catholic
Children learn in a fun engaging program. They work through an activity book provided by the local churches (a donation is requested) and enjoy games, music and drama. Catholic children who attend this Scripture can also complete the sacramental program for Reconciliation, First Communion and Confirmation.
Ethics
Ethics classes are available to children who do not attend scripture. Students examine age appropriate concepts and issues asking what is right and wrong in particular circumstances.
Non Scripture
Under the provisions of Section 26 of the Education Act 1990, students may, with parental permission, be exempt from Special Religious Education. Students who attend non-scripture read or draw quietly in a supervised area.
